Exclusive - Ruby revealed the secrets behind the failure of a duet clip she was supposed to perform with Lebanese singer Maria under the direction of director Sharif Sabri.  She explained this was due to the remarks made by Maria when commenting on (bold) and (Daring) stars in one of the programs saying that people are always critical of Lebanese singers and not with the Egyptians, although they present bolder and more daring performances mentioning the name of Ruby in her conversation. In response, Ruby cancelled the duet with Maria and blocked any relationship with her.

Ruby also denied opposing her sister Cookie's decision to join show business and  confirmed that her sister had the complete freedom to do as she pleased and that she had no right to object to the choices adding that she does not interfere in her sister's life at all.

On the other hand, Ruby is selecting the songs of her new album as she is holding extensive work sessions with a number of poets and composers.  She also intends to release a single shortly before the album.  She will also participate in the movie (the Longing) or (Al-Shawq), written by Sayed Ragab, produced and directed by Khalid Hajjar and co-starred by Basma and Basem Samra.

The movie discusses the issue of slums and what happens among young people as a result of emotional and physical distress and marriage delay, which eventually leads to the increase of sexual harassment and rape.  Ruby was also nominated to participate in the film (Dear Professor Ihsan), or (Azizy Al Ostaz Ehsan) written by Wesam Suleiman and directed by Mohammed Khan .
